Restoration

The restoration process was not easy. We bought the van from Facebook marketplace, assuming it needed a few tweaks, but as we started we realised how much work it needed. We then decided to restore it fully, which has been a real challenge. The van has had a ton of welding done, every wheel arch and more! Untold amounts of fibreglass and body filler has been used to smooth the bodywork together. Every single bit of bodywork, including the pain and decals have all been done by hand.

The van failed the MOT in August 2025 after all the bodywork and repairs, which was gutting. It took 3 weeks to pass the MOT. Then the freezer unit packed up and had a gas leak. It took 6 weeks to find someone who could repair it. We took it to Liskeard, which took a further 3 weeks and moments before we went to pick it up, it had been damaged by a horse box!

We realised that the van was still not finished and had missed out of the summer season, so work carried on through the winter. The window stickers were done, bumper and grill had been repaired and then we focused on getting everything under the bonnet replaced.
